As Thanksgiving approaches, I find myself once again reflecting on the things that matter most: family, gratitude, and the chance to pause (if only for a few days) to appreciate all that we have.
Every year, the boys and I make the trip north to Pennsylvania, where my brother Shanan and his family host our Thanksgiving gathering. It’s a tradition that is as much about laughter and chaos as it is the food, and there’s always plenty of both.
Ollie takes his Thanksgiving Dinner very seriously. He is the first to the table and always tries everything. Lincoln, on the other hand, has a one-track mind: peanut butter pie. And while those two may battle over the last slice, there’s one thing we can all agree on — my mom’s pumpkin roll steals the show every time.
It’s these small traditions, the long drive (though we opted to fly this year), the smells from the kitchen, the shared stories, and the time spent together that remind me how much I have to be thankful for. That same feeling of gratitude extends to each of you. I am deeply thankful for the trust and confidence you’ve placed in our team. Being part of your financial journey, and often your life’s milestones, is something we never take for granted.
And since every Thanksgiving needs a little humor…
Dad Joke: What do you call a turkey the day after Thanksgiving?
Lucky!
In the spirit of sharing, I’ve included one of our family-favorite recipes, a dish that’s found its way onto the Schrift table more years than I can count. I hope it finds a spot at yours, too.
Wishing you and your loved ones a Thanksgiving filled with joy, laughter, and a little extra whipped cream on the pie.

My Best,
Ryan
